NHS Flu vaccination

The FREE NHS Flu vaccination is available to all individuals aged 65 and over and to anyone over 18 years who falls into a specific health category. All eligible individuals can access the flu vaccine regardless of their GP surgery or the pharmacy they normally use.

You can book a flu vaccination appointment using our booking system at the bottom of this page. Scheduling your appointment helps us manage the flu vaccination process alongside our regular pharmacy services.

Who Is Eligible for the Free NHS Flu Vaccine?

The free NHS flu vaccine is available to:

  • Anyone 65 years and over
  • Adults aged 18-64 with specific health conditions, such as asthma, diabetes, chronic heart or kidney disease
  • Residents of long-stay residential care
  • Carers in receipt of carer’s allowance, or those who are the main carer of an elderly or disabled person
  • Close contacts of immunocompromised individuals
  • Pregnant individuals
  • Frontline workers in a social care setting without an employer led occupational health scheme including those working for a registered residential care or nursing home, registered domiciliary care providers, voluntary managed hospice providers and those that are employed by those who receive direct payments (personal budgets) or Personal Health budgets, such as Personal Assistants

Unlike in previous years, the free NHS flu vaccination service is not available to those aged 50-64 who are healthy and not part of the above risk groups. However, they can still opt for a private flu vaccination. Eligibility changes each year as per JCVI recommendations.
